Distribution delays from extreme weather calls for action.
As large portions of the country became wracked with snow, ice, and frigid temperatures, both vaccine shipment centers, and injection sites have become heavily delayed or shut down altogether. President Biden set out to visit a Pfizer production plant in Kalamazoo, Michigan, on Friday to better understand the manufacturing and shipping process for further action.
It is not clear how many vaccine doses were delayed on the federal level, but nearly all states are experiencing significant shortages. White House coronavirus coordinator Jeff Zients reported earlier this week, “We want to make sure that as we’ve lost some time in some states for people to get needles in arms, that our partners do all they can to make up that lost ground.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to be at work in the president’s administration as they consider an altered vaccination strategy.
- For state leaders as they find ways to flow around these new challenges.
